The NSW Food Authority has commenced its second round of audits: Are you ready?

While some services have yet to be audited others are already preparing for their second
round of audits. Make sure you are ready by conducting an internal audit. Look at the
attached Sample Internal Audit Checklist

  1. Review the NSW Food Authority web site to see if there are any changes to legislation;
  2. Review the minimum requirements in Vulnerable Persons Food Safety Scheme Manual
  3. Make sure your verification activities are up-to-date;
  4. Make sure all staff training is up-to-date, especially for the Food Safety Team members;
  5. Review and update your Food Safety Program;
  6. Conduct an on-site internal audit;
  7. Complete a food safety audit report and implement all corrective actions.
  8. File the report so it can be viewed by the NSW Food Authority auditor.
